Some of Our Favorite Developmental Toys

Hey friends! Even before Nova was diagnosed with Dravet, I have always had a great interest in child development. I wanted to make sure I was making the best choices and providing my kids with the best tools to grow. After Nova was diagnosed and I found out developmental delays were associated, I had dived even deeper into providing toys that would help guide her and encourage her. This will probably be a series of posts, but I wanted to share some of our favorite toys and how they’ve helped our girls.

Many of you know how much Nova loves her alphabet and counting- these magnets are truly amazing quality. The brand gifted the number ones to our girls, and we loved them so much we also got the alphabet. The girls both still seek sensory input by putting everything in their mouths- so these being non-toxic silicone is amazing knowing they are both safe and will be long lasting. One of my favorite, affordable and great quality toy brands is Learning Resources. These farm animals create so much room for conversation and speech development. These stepping stones are so fun and great for helping with balance- something Nova struggles with at times. I will try and make this a series!
