Happy Blogmas Day 2! We have been trying to spend more screen free time with Nova now that we have our Tonies Box- these are two of the crafts we’ve done the last two days. The first is a color matching cookie tray game I downloaded off of Teacher’s Pay Teachers-this is the exact link: Gingerbread Man Color Sorting Activity Hands-On Christmas Learning Freebie, Once I printed it out, I laminated everything so we could use it multiple times this year. Teachers Pay Teachers is one of my favorite resources for free or low cost learning activities for Nova.
For the Christmas tree activity, I took a piece of construction paper and folded it vertically. Along the folded edge I drew half a Christmas tree and then cut it out. Once it had the empty space for the tree, I took packing tape- but you could use any see through (or even colored) tape, with the tape I layered it piece by piece down the whole cut-out of the tree. Then I gave Nova some crafting pompoms and gave her the paper with the tape facing sticky side up. She was able to put them on the tape and decorate her very own tree. The best part is she could remove and reuse the pompoms over and over again. This one kept her busy for a good 30 minutes- and if you know my Novie, you know that’s amazing! 😉
Thank you guys again for all the support, we love ya to bits!
